- over 6 inches of rain yesterday (complete with ice pellets, lightning and thunder)
- still raining furiously today
- hundreds of flights canceled yesterday.... some airports actually closed completely today
- over 55 highways in New Jersey are closed ... NJ declares a state of emergency
- subway/train service interrupted and delayed at best and completely shut down at worst
- countless stories from colleagues on this Monday morning about travel issues, commuting nightmares and flooded basements
Would a modern day Noah's Ark feature a pair of AJAX programmers to ensure the future of Web 2.0??

What a mess... looking at pics on CNN. New Jersey and West Virginia declared emergency states.
Record Rainfall
The rain totaled 7.81 inches in Central Park from early Sunday to Monday morning. The previous record in the park for April 15 was just 1.8 inches, set in 1906.
Looks like I'll be rescheduling my NY office visit once again. I'll catch up with you soon.
Are you sure we cant convince you to come back to Cali?????
Ugh! Not pleasant..hope you're using this as an excuse to work from home.
I would appreciate it if people wouldn't use the blog comments to lure Shari back to the amazing weather of California. It's fun living through New York's storms. Builds character.
LOL, Nick, you make me laugh. (Out loud, even!!) If what you say is true, I have SUCH a highly evolved character after the last few months! :-)
Ha! I found you on Nick'd :)
